About Silentnight
At Silentnight, we’ve been helping the nation sleep better for over 80 years. As one of the UK’s most recognised sleep brands, we’re proud of our heritage, our people and the products we make here in the UK. Today, we’re continuing to evolve our business while keeping our focus on what matters – great products, great service and a great place to work.
Why join us?
This is a great opportunity to join an established British brand and a People team where you’ll be close to the business, have the opportunity to make an impact and help shape how we support our managers and colleagues.
We’re looking for a People Partner to join our People team at Silentnight.
This is a broad, hands-on People role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships with managers and making a real difference to the day-to-day employee experience.
You’ll work alongside managers across the business, providing practical advice, coaching and support across the full range of people matters. From employee relations, absence and performance through to organisational change, employee lifecycle activity and HR administration, you’ll take ownership and see things through.
What you’ll be doing
- Partnering with managers and providing practical, commercially focused people advice
- Coaching managers and building their confidence in managing their teams
- Managing a varied range of employee relations matters
- Supporting absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes
- Supporting employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle
- Producing accurate HR documentation and keeping employee records and systems up to date
- Supporting People projects, change and improvements to how we work
- Helping us deliver a responsive, consistent and approachable People service
What we’re looking for
You’ll already have experience in a generalist HR or People role and be confident advising managers on employee relations and everyday people challenges.
You’ll be someone who can build relationships quickly, use good judgement and give clear, practical advice. Just as importantly, you’ll be happy to roll your sleeves up. We’re a hands-on People team, so this role combines partnering and coaching with the operational detail and administration needed to deliver a great service.
CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be an advantage, as would experience in a manufacturing, operational or fast-paced environment.
Why Silentnight?
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s best-known sleep brands and become part of a People team that is evolving how we support our employees and managers.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape relationships with the areas you support, develop manager capability and contribute ideas that improve the way we do things.
If you’re looking for a People Partner role where you can be visible, involved and make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.
