We are recruiting a professional and dependable Security Officer to support two established sites in Burton upon Trent.
This is a permanent position commencing on as soon as possible, offering structured hours, operational stability and the opportunity to become part of a well-managed, compliance-driven contract. The role primarily covers night shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with occasional overtime available.
We operate to recognised industry standards and expect all personnel to meet the professional and vetting requirements associated with regulated environments.

The Role
You will rotate between two local sites, maintaining a safe, secure and professional environment for employees, visitors and contractors. The role requires confidence, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while upholding strict site procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing access and egress control
· Verifying identification and professionally challenging unauthorised personnel
· Conducting regular internal and external patrols
· Responding to alarms and incidents in line with site escalation procedures
· Carrying out routine fire and safety compliance checks
· Completing accurate incident reports and daily documentation
· Maintaining professional shift handovers
· Supporting basic operational tasks where required
This is a front-facing position requiring strong customer service skills, integrity and sound judgement.
Compliance & Screening Requirements
In line with BS7858 Security Screening of Individuals Employed in a Security Environment, successful applicants must:
· Hold a valid SIA Licence
· Provide a full five-year checkable employment history, including education and unemployment periods
· Supply satisfactory character references covering the screening period
· Be willing to undergo identity verification and right-to-work checks
· Successfully complete a Basic DBS check
· Disclose any unspent convictions in accordance with industry standards
