Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager/Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant or hotel staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to existing staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and management
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
- Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and special events
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or culinary roles is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise confidently with staff and guests
- Familiarity with hospitality software systems is advantageous
- Previous experience in serving or barista roles adds value to understanding front-of-house operations
- Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
