Barista / Café Assistant
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to join our busy takeaway coffee shop in Brightons, just a short walk from Polmont Train Station.
If you enjoy meeting people, take pride in great customer service, and are confident working independently, we’d love to hear from you.
Hours
- Part-time or full-time considered
- Working hours: 6:45am – 2:45pm (these hours are fixed)
- Working days to be agreed with the successful candidate
- We are closed on Sundays, although occasional Saturday holiday cover may be required
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers with a smile and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing quality coffee, drinks, and food efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service and handling queries professionally
- Keeping the café clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the day
- Working independently to ensure the smooth running of the shop
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, friendly attitude and excellent communication skills
- Someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and happy working on their own
- Previous café, coffee shop, or customer service experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right person
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Basic numeracy skills for handling payments
Pay
Competitive rates of pay, based on experience.
