Job Summary
The Activities coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents living in a care home setting . This position is responsible for planning, implementing a range of person-centred Activities that will enhance the day to day of each Resident promoting them to have some stimuli .
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Coordinate daily activities, events, and outings that promote social interaction, physical health, and mental stimulation.
- Foster a welcoming environment by encouraging resident participation and feedback in activity planning.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences to enhance future programming.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding upcoming events and individual resident needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care home settings is advantageous
- A bubbly personality.
- Experience working with individuals requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with residents, families, and staff.
- To actively fun raise and bring some ideas to the care home.
- A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
- The Role is for 25hrs a week over Mon-Fri with some flexibility to the right candidate delivering activities from 10am-3pm perfect for someone wanting a position that fits around school hours . The hours can be over 4 days or 5 days and no weekends.
- Driving licence preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
