Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing, applying, and finishing paint coatings on Timber surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of painting techniques and safety procedures, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mix paints and coatings accurately according to specifications.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, maintaining consistent coverage and finish quality.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during preparation and application processes.
- Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with surface repairs or minor carpentry tasks as required.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in loading and unloading materials or equipment as necessary, including heavy lifting when required.
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial or decorative painting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in painting and surface preparation is desirable.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety protocols is highly valued.
Driving Licence Required due to no transport links around the workshop.

Pay: £24,420.00-£33,000.00 per year
