About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Brunch Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys preparing fresh, high-quality brunch food in a busy café environment. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team, helping to deliver consistent dishes, smooth service, and a clean, well-organised kitchen.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking brunch dishes to a high standard
- Ensuring food is served consistently, efficiently, and beautifully presented
- Supporting prep before and during service
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional kitchen space
- Following food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
- Working closely with front of house and barista teams to ensure smooth service
- Helping manage stock rotation, waste, and daily prep lists
- Looking after kitchen equipment with care and respect
- Contributing ideas for menu development and seasonal specials where appropriate

- Able to be on your feet for long shifts, up to 10 hours

- Forward-thinking: you can plan ahead and communicate what the team needs for the next few days

- Enjoying brunch, café food, and seasonal cooking
- Visiting cafés, restaurants, and food-led hospitality spaces
- Cooking, experimenting, or developing recipes at home
- Taking pride in presentation and flavour
- Reading, learning, tasting, and trying new ideas
- Understanding the importance of consistency in a busy kitchen
Desirable, But Not Essential
- Previous brunch chef, café chef, or breakfast chef experience
- Experience with eggs, sourdough, brunch dishes, prep, and service
- Food Safety Level 2, or willingness to obtain
- Allergen awareness training
- Experience with stock control, prep lists, and kitchen opening/closing procedures
