Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Trolley Operative to support operations at London Luton Airport. The key objective of this role is to ensure the safe movement and availability of luggage trolleys across both airside and landside areas, maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect, transport, and redistribute luggage trolleys across the airport (airside and landside)
- Return trolleys to designated vending units in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor trolley levels and ensure sufficient availability at key locations
- Conduct collections of trolleys from long-term car parks using a company vehicle
- Transport collected trolleys to the depot when required
- Carry out basic checks to ensure trolleys are safe, clean, and fit for use
- Remove damaged or faulty trolleys from operation and report accordingly
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Health & Safety (HSE) regulations and airport compliance standards
- Provide a high level of customer service when interacting with passengers and airport staff
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members throughout shifts
- Report any faults, damages, incidents, or safety concerns promptly
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- Support other operational tasks when required by management
- Complete documentation or logs as required for operational and compliance purposes
- Adhere to all security requirements and airport regulations at all times
- Once per week, carry out collections from London Heathrow terminals and return trolleys to the depot
Requirements
Full UK driving licence (essential) Proven 5-year work history with references (required for airside clearance)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety practices Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

Pay: £13.45 per hour
