Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate female Deputy Care Manager for our home care service in Angus council .
The person should be able to drive . In this vital role, you will support the Care Manager in overseeing daily operations within a vibrant care home environment, ensuring the delivery of exceptional senior care services. Your leadership will help foster a warm, respectful atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for. Duties
- Assist the Care Manager in coordinating and supervising the delivery of personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including medication administration and dementia-specific care.
- This person would be supporting to fill in some rota at the beginning and Support staff in supervising daily activities, ensuring compliance with care standards and health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the development and review of care plans, ensuring they reflect current needs and preferences.
- Help monitor residents’ health status, report changes promptly, and liaise with healthcare professionals as needed.
- Lead by example in providing compassionate, respectful care while fostering a positive environment for residents and staff alike.
- Support recruitment, training, and supervision of care staff to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to assisted living, nursing home standards, and safeguarding policies.
Skills
- Proven experience working in assisted living or home care environments with a strong understanding of senior care principles.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care setting.
- In-depth knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies to support residents effectively.
- Skilled in developing and implementing comprehensive care plans that promote independence and quality of life.
- Experience with medication administration protocols and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families, and external healthcare providers.
- Ability to lead with empathy, motivate staff, and uphold high standards of care at all times.

Pay: £25,420.00-£49,422.63 per year
