Overview
We are looking for a reliable, friendly and organised part-time Receptionist / Housekeeper to join our small, busy medical practice. This is an important dual-role position that combines front-of-house patient support with housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, helpful and courteous manner
- Answer telephone calls, take messages and direct queries appropriately
- Book, amend and manage appointments accurately
- Carry out general reception and administrative duties as required
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and follow practice procedures
- Keep reception, waiting and clinical support areas clean, tidy and well presented
- Undertake routine housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Work closely with and support the wider practice team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
About You
- Previous reception or customer service experience is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, caring and professional manner
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and manage competing priorities
- Awareness of confidentiality, cleanliness standards
- A flexible, dependable and team-focused approach
