As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable gardener to join our team. Initially, you will work alongside our existing team leaders and horticulturists to become familiar with our gardens, systems and clients, before progressing into a dedicated Head Gardener / Team Leader position.

What You'll Be Doing
You will be responsible for maintaining gardens to an exceptionally high standard, including:
- Lawn care and mowing with professional presentation and attention to detail
- Hedge cutting, shaping and topiary maintenance
- Plant identification and horticultural problem-solving
- Pruning of shrubs, climbers, roses and small trees
- Border management and seasonal maintenance
- Planting and establishment of new schemes
- Pest and disease monitoring
- Operation and maintenance of professional garden machinery
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Building positive relationships with clients
- Assisting with the planning and management of horticultural works
As you progress into a Team Leader role, you will also take responsibility for forward planning, client communication and overseeing the delivery of work within your allocated gardens.
What We're Looking For - Essential
- Minimum 7 years professional gardening experience
- Strong plant knowledge and identification skills
- Confident in all aspects of practical horticulture
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Experience using professional garden machinery
- Good communication skills and a professional manner
- Reliable, organised and self-motivated
- Genuine passion for horticulture
Desirable
- Experience managing private gardens
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience
- RHS Level 2 or equivalent horticultural qualification
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates
- Full UK driving licence
