Ryans of Edinburgh is looking for a passionate and reliable Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and passionate about delivering high-quality food in a busy and professional environment.
This is a great opportunity for a strong Chef de Partie looking to take the next step in their career, or an experienced Junior Sous Chef who wants to be part of a supportive team and continue developing their skills.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play an important role in maintaining standards, supporting the team and helping to deliver a great dining experience for our guests.
· Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
· Leading service with confidence, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
· Delivering consistently high standards in food quality and presentation
· Mentoring and developing junior team members
· Contributing ideas to menus and daily specials
· Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
· Assisting with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation

What we’re looking for
· Experience at Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef level
· Strong understanding of kitchen systems and food safety
· A positive attitude and team-first approach
· Confidence in leading a section and running service
· Passion for fresh, seasonal food and high standards
