Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties
- Operate curtainsiders trailers with and without tail lift other commercial vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring securement during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with transport office team regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road and at loading sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (endorsed with no more than 6 penalty points)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Driver CPC
- Must have held relevant licence for a minimum 2 years
- Good geographical knowledge of the whole of the U.K.
- Able to provide your own Truck Satnav suitable for the vehicle you will be driving
- Ability to work under pressure and within prompt delivery deadlines
- Honesty and Punctuality
- You will be required to do nights out
- Knowledge in general haulage an advantage
- Knowledge of tail lift operations and securing loads is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Benefits
- You will be paid £1100 for 5 day week (Mon-Fri), with opportunity for overtime by working Saturday or Sunday if required.
