Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join the team at our new cafe on the Weymouth Granby estate. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages. This role offers an excellent opportunity to progress as a barista in a rewarding environment. The position is suitable for individuals who are passionate about coffee and creating a positive atmosphere.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Handle payments via card POS system.
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to health regulations and company policies.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is required for this position.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy setting while maintaining quality and efficiency.
