Duties
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Support individuals with mobility needs, including helping them move safely around the home or care facility.
- Follow care plans meticulously to deliver tailored support that meets each person’s unique needs.
- Maintain clear and positive communication with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Use IT systems to update records, document care activities, and track progress accurately.
- Drive or accompany clients on errands or appointments when necessary, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules.
- Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment that promotes well-being and independence for all residents.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions accurately.
- Good IT literacy for maintaining electronic records and documentation efficiently.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and patience when supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating independence and initiative in daily tasks.
