Junior Commercial Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Commercial Manager to join our successful team at LDH based at our state-of-the-art distribution facility in Sproughton, Ipswich.
Reporting to the Sales Director/Commercial Manager/s, the Junior Commercial Manager will provide day to day commercial support to the commercial team.
This position will suit a determined, and super-organised individual looking to build a long-term career within an established and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- To accurately cost commercial pricing under direction from the trading and commercial managers.
- Accurately write and prepare new supply contracts.
- Present information to customers that is clear and concise in a transparent manner Support the trading team with data analysis and collection.
- To share live supply chain information with all necessary stakeholders with confidence and accuracy.
- Management and continuous monitoring of contract balances for specific customers
- Submit weekly cost price changes to the buying team ensuring they are accurate.
- Manage the derogation process to ensure product is accepted into depot by customer
- Track and monitor EPOS sales performance.
- To ensure LDHs customers see business as usual at times of holiday and sickness Manage the LDH Retail promotional process.
- Ensuring all promotions are submitted correctly in a timely manner
- Monitoring promotional loading and implementation
- Evaluation of promotional effectiveness
- Reconciliation of promotional funding
- Track and monitor LDH distribution points.
- Weekly store review to update the business on any significant new product launches and store changes.
- Understand how to use retailer’s portals to run ad-hoc reports to provide sales analysis to the commercial team.
- Manage admin element of NPD, Packaging and Technical projects with relevant departments.
- Manage admin element of range review process to ensure all departments are briefed, spread sheets with relevant data is updated and accurate.
- Coordinate and manage samples
- To ensure that the customer is represented during internal meetings where the trader / commercial manager is unable to attend
Key Accountabilities:
- Costings for the new and existing business
- Write all contracts in a timely and accurate manner
- Sharing of contract balances with customers
- Daily sharing of stock reports with our customers
- Issue tracking via EPOS
- Ensuring information is provided in a timely manner to ensure NPD is launched on time.
The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level equivalent and will have intermediate knowledge of microsoft office, specifically Outlook and Excel. Specific knowledge of the legal requirements for food technology would be desirable but not essential.
An ability to swiftly gain a thorough understanding of new and complex issues with a quality approach and attention to detail with strong administration skills is a necessity.
