Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join our dynamic financial services team. In this vital role, you will support financial advisors by preparing comprehensive financial plans, conducting research, and ensuring all client documentation is accurate and compliant. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare clear, accurate and high-quality suitability reports.
- Undertake detailed research across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.
- Analyse existing client arrangements and provider information.
- Prepare financial planning recommendations for adviser review.
- Support pension consolidation, investment, drawdown and retirement planning cases.
- Produce cashflow modelling reports using Finn Calc
- Work closely with Financial Advisers to understand client objectives and proposed recommendations.
- Liaise with the Financial Planning Processor and administration team to ensure cases progress smoothly.
- Review information received through Letters of Authority and identify any further information required.
- Maintain accurate client records and case notes.
- Ensure all work meets internal compliance and regulatory standards.
- Support annual review work where technical input is required.
- Manage and prioritise your own report pipeline.
- Help identify opportunities to improve paraplanning processes and turnaround times.
- Contribute to the continued development of the Financial Planning department.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months’ paraplanning experience.
- Experience preparing suitability reports.
- Good working knowledge of pensions and investments.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Comfortable working closely with advisers and administration teams.
- Commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, or working towards completion.
- Experience with cashflow modelling.
- Experience with pension drawdown and retirement planning.
