Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance staff or interns
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement
Experience
- Proven experience in financial accounting or a similar role within a professional environment
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems is essential
- Strong understanding of financial services industry standards and practices
- Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or train team members effectively
- Familiarity with financial management principles and reporting requirements
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
