An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the on-site engineering team at a high-profile commercial and retail destination in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent, static role within a busy commercial environment, working as part of an established engineering team responsible for maintaining the site's electrical building services.
Salary & Benefits
- £44,000 salary
- Static site based in Glasgow
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
- 1 in 4 weekend rota:
- Saturday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
- Sunday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
- Occasional back-shift cover (12:00pm – 9:00pm) as required
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays (including 2 floating days)

The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across the site's building services, helping to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
- Reactive electrical fault finding and repairs
- Internal and external lighting maintenance
- Distribution board inspections and maintenance
- Monthly lighting and plant checks
- General electrical building maintenance
- Supporting and supervising specialist subcontractors
- Completing maintenance records using a CAFM system
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current Health & Safety legislation
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or Commercial Maintenance
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
