Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and help with medication administration following care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support patients with mobility challenges through safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Conduct light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed
- Manage behavior challenges with patience and effective behavior management strategies
- Document care activities accurately and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments
- Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for driving duties
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication and empathy
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
