The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will deliver engaging, personalised learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Working alongside experienced teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders, you'll become part of a collaborative team committed to ensuring every learner reaches their full potential.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Support learners with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning needs.
- Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every learner feels valued.
- Assess progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with families, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to personalised learning plans and individual targets.
- Promote independence, confidence, communication and emotional wellbeing.
Essential Requirements
We're looking for teachers who have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A minimum of three years' teaching experience within the UK.
- Previous experience working within a SEND school or specialist educational setting.
- A strong understanding of inclusive teaching and differentiated learning.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A compassionate, patient and proactive approach to supporting children and young people with additional needs.
