Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Croydon | Up to £65,000 FTE
We are seeking an experienced and autonomous AdvancedNursePractitioner (*ANP)* to join a friendly and supportive GP practice in Croydon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ANP looking to develop their career within a progressive primary care setting. You will be joining an established multidisciplinary team with strong clinical support and the opportunity to work autonomously across a varied patient population.
Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.
About the Role
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute, minor illness and long-term conditions.
You will work alongside GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team, with the opportunity to manage your own patient workload and utilise your full scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and minor illnesses
- Conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations
- Manage patients with long-term conditions
- Undertake clinical examinations and assessments
- Request and interpret appropriate investigations
- Prescribe safely within your scope of practice
- Provide appropriate safety-netting and follow-up
- Recognise and manage deteriorating or acutely unwell patients
- Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other services
- Support health promotion and preventative care
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records
- Work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and the wider MDT
- Contribute to clinical audits, service development and quality improvement
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced AdvancedNursePractitioner who is confident working autonomously within primary care.
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
- Advanced Clinical Practice / ANP qualification or equivalent
- Independent Prescribing qualification
- Significant experience working within primary care
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Confident managing acute and chronic presentations
- Excellent communication and consultation skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
