We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions that power modern enterprise applications. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions across public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
- Develop infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration management.
- Manage virtualization environments utilizing VMware, OpenStack, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps tools.
- Optimize cloud architecture for performance, security, cost-efficiency, and scalability while adhering to best practices.
- Monitor system health through APIs, web services, and cloud-native tools; troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Implement security measures including VPNs, firewalls, encryption protocols, and identity management to safeguard data and infrastructure assets.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture designs, configurations, procedures, and incident reports for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure; familiarity with multi-cloud environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware and OpenStack; experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker is essential.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Go or Ruby for automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Solid understanding of network security principles including VPNs, firewalls, REST APIs, and web services security best practices.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments; knowledge of operating system internals is advantageous.
- Experience working within a DevOps environment—using CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Git—and deploying SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions.
- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server; understanding NoSQL options like NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Ability to develop RESTful APIs for integration purposes; experience with application development frameworks such as JavaScript frameworks (.NET, Node.js) is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities; capable of working independently or within cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
