Position Overview:
As a Club Room Assistant, you'll act as a warm and knowledgeable front-line ambassador for Padel Maidenhead’s social and hospitality hub. You’ll support day-to-day operations in the Deuce Bar & Pavilion, manage bookings, assist in retail, and ensure a welcoming, organized environment for all members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:Reception & Member Services
- Greet and welcome members and guests with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Manage phone , providing clear information about court availability, memberships, and club services.
- Handle court bookings via Playtomic or other systems, including match scheduling and rentals.
Food & Beverage Duties
- Operate the Deuce Bar: serve refreshments, prepare simple snacks and drinks (including hot beverages), and maintain service standards.
- Keep the bar and social areas clean, hygienic, and well-stocked with supplies.
Retail & Conference Support
- Assist customers in the retail area: advise on products, complete sales transactions, manage returns/exchanges, and stay informed on promotions.
- Help maintain a tidy, organised retail display area.
- Provide support for small events or conference room usage: set up, refreshments support, and general housekeeping.
Facility Upkeep
- Ensure social and changing areas are clean, welcoming, and safe.
- Perform light maintenance tasks or report any faults promptly.
- Support overall club cleanliness and presentation, helping maintain a premium standard across the venue.
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with club staff to deliver a seamless member experience.
- Flexibility to assist across shifts, including evenings or weekends as required.
- Uphold the club’s values of inclusivity, sustainability, and community engagement.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Ideally 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or similar environments.
- Confident and clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer competency; experience with booking systems
- Passion for sports (padel or racket sports preferred) or a general interest in fitness, leisure, and community engagement.
- A friendly, proactive attitude with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy, member-focused environment.
