Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage freight shipments using advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) platforms.
- Collaborate with carriers, customs brokers, 3PL providers, and clients to arrange transportation that aligns with delivery schedules and cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA regulations for applicable shipments, and maintain accurate documentation for customs clearance and regulatory audits.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service levels with carriers and vendors to optimie logistics costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilise CRM software to track customer interactions, lead generation activities, and sales management efforts related to freight services.
- Conduct data entry tasks accurately within AS400 systems and other logistics software to maintain real-time shipment visibility.
- Support supply chain initiatives by analysing logistics data, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and assisting in B2B sales efforts through lead generation activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, transport planner or logistics coordination within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), EDI platforms, CRM software, and AS400 systems.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, and distribution strategies.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with carriers and vendors to secure optimal rates and service agreements.
- Understanding of FDA regulations related to shipping pharmaceuticals or food products is a plus.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and managing complex logistics projects from start to finish.
- Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail to ensure accuracy across all documentation.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
