Are you experienced in transport planning and passionate about delivering efficient logistics solutions? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving and operational excellence are key?
We're looking for a Transport Planner to create and manage effective transport plans, optimise vehicle and driver utilisation, and ensure customer service levels and network KPIs are consistently achieved. You'll play a critical role in driving efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships across operations, suppliers and customers.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

Plan and coordinate transport operations using TMS, including load building, route creation, and allocation of vehicles, trailers and drivers.

Deliver transport plans within agreed deadlines while achieving utilisation, load fill and service KPIs.

Monitor network performance, analyse operational data, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Manage subcontractor and agency relationships, including securing additional resource where required to meet demand.

Build strong relationships with transport sites, suppliers, customers and operational teams to ensure service excellence and effective communication.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Someone with transport planning experience (essential) and a strong understanding of transport operations.

An analytical problem-solver who can make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.

A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders.

An organised and disciplined individual with strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and transport management systems.

Someone with a good understanding of driver regulations and a flexible approach to support operational requirements when needed.
