St Helena Hospice is seeking an Assistant Manager, to work at our Dovercourt shop. The role is for 22.5 hours per week (3 days) working on a rota basis that would include some weekends
What are we looking for?
Retail Management Experience.
To support the paid staff and volunteers through effective communication, training, guidance, and direction.
Excellent customer service and community engagement skills, acting as a positive ambassador for St Helena and promoting its image within the local community.
Good organisational and commercial awareness, with the ability to identify sales opportunities and drive shop performance.
Main Duties of the Job:
The key priorities of an Assistant Shop Manager are:
- To run an efficient and effective shop to maximise profits from the sale of donated stock for St Helena.
- To support the volunteer team by providing communication, leadership, training, support, guidance and direction to their efforts.
- Ability to work well in team in a fast paced environment
- To promote the image of St Helena in the community.
