About the role
We are recruiting for an experienced First Aid Trainer and Assessor to work with a growing private company that wants to become a trusted provider of first aid training across the North West.
We are looking for someone who can deliver high quality first aid training and support learners to gain recognised first aid qualifications.
This role would suit someone who is already delivering first aid training and is looking for a better opportunity, regular work and excellent rates of pay.
We are open to speaking with trainers who currently work freelance, for a training provider, in education, childcare, sport, health and safety, or workplace training.
The role
You will deliver first aid courses to schools, nurseries, childcare settings, sports providers, businesses and local organisations.
You must be confident delivering practical training, assessing learners and making sure each course is completed to a high standard.
The aim is to find someone who can become our main First Aid Trainer and help us build a strong first aid training offer across the North West.
Courses may include:
Paediatric First Aid
Emergency First Aid at Work
First Aid at Work
Basic Life Support
Anaphylaxis training
Sports First Aid
School and childcare first aid courses
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who can:
Deliver first aid training confidently
Assess learners properly
Help people gain recognised first aid certificates
Represent the company professionally
Work with schools, nurseries, childcare settings and businesses
Keep training practical, engaging and easy to understand
Complete any required paperwork correctly
Communicate well before and after each course
Essential requirements
Experience delivering first aid training
Relevant first aid trainer or instructor qualification
Ability to assess learners
Strong knowledge of first aid standards and requirements
Confident speaking in front of groups
Professional, reliable and organised
Able to travel across the North West
Desirable
Experience delivering Paediatric First Aid
Experience working with schools, nurseries or childcare providers
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Safeguarding training
Access to recognised certification or an awarding organisation route
Own training equipment
