About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Independent Prescribing Pharmacist to join our growing online healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacist prescriber to play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical services, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will utilise their prescribing qualification to assess, diagnose, prescribe, and manage treatment plans within their scope of practice while promoting safe and effective medicines optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations and clinical assessments.
- Prescribe medicines independently within your competency framework.
- Manage acute and long-term conditions in line with current clinical guidelines.
- Identify and resolve medication-related issues to improve patient safety.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Qualified Independent Prescriber.
- Demonstrable post-registration clinical pharmacy experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT ability and confident using Microsoft Teams.
Desirable
- Experience working within primary care, general practice, community pharmacy, or urgent care settings.
- Additional clinical qualifications or specialist interest areas.
- Experience managing long-term conditions and chronic disease reviews.
