We are an established small family business with 17 years of successful operation, known for our fresh homemade food, stable, respectful workplace and long-standing, loyal and friendly team. Many of our staff have been with us for years — something we are incredibly proud of. As we launch this exciting new venture, we are looking for a reliable Chef looking for a stable job.
About the Role
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a Chef with strong café or restaurant experience and a passion for fresh food.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys what they do and takes pride in their work — not someone simply seeking a short-term position. In a small, supportive team like ours, you will play a key role in building our reputation within the local community.
Reporting to the Operations Manager & Cafe Supervisor, you will be responsible for the kitchen and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the café. You will set high standards, lead by example, and work collaboratively with front-of-house to create a welcoming, family-focused environment and dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn our concept and actively suggest improvements
- Develop and implement fresh, appealing menus aligned with customer preferences and current trends
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain exceptional standards of food hygiene, safety and kitchen organisation
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Operations Manager, Venue Supervisor & front-of-house team to deliver seamless service
- Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and control kitchen costs effectively
Your high standards of food quality and hygiene will be fundamental to establishing our reputation locally and fostering a positive kitchen culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for fresh food
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A proactive mindset and willingness to “muck in” with day-to-day tasks
- Reliable, trustworthy and looking for a stable long-term role
- Ideally based locally to Enfield Town
Personality and attitude matter greatly to us. You must be friendly, approachable, easy to work with, and committed to contributing positively to a small, respectful team.
What We Offer
- A stable, supportive and respectful working environment
- Long-term opportunity within a well-established family business
- A collaborative, positive team culture
- The chance to be part of an exciting new community space from its very beginning
