Key Responsibilities
Working alongside the HIAB Operator, your daily duties will include:
- Slinger Banksman Duties: Safely directing and guiding HIAB operations during column movements, installations, and removals.
- Installation Support: Acting as the "Second Man" on-site, assisting with the safe installation/removal of street lighting columns and foundations.
- Excavation & Reinstatement: Hand excavation activities and temporary reinstatement of ground surfaces.
- Traffic Management: Setting up and maintaining effective signing, lighting, and guarding (NRSWA).
- Site Safety: Maintaining high health, safety, and environmental standards, with a strict focus on working safely near buried apparatus.
Mandatory Requirements
To hit the ground running in this role, you must possess:
- Street Lighting Experience: Proven, hands-on experience specifically within the street lighting sector.
- Slinger Banksman Ticket: A valid, current qualification (Non-Crane / Signaller).
- Streetworks: Valid NRSWA Streetworks card (Unit 2/O1 minimum).
- Safety Card: Valid CSCS Card.
- Driving Licence: Full, clean UK Driving Licence with reliable transport to get to the Huddersfield depot for 06:30 AM.
- Availability: Ready for an immediate start.
