Electus Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Cook Manger at Saintfield Lodge Care Home.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking Cook to enhance their career leading Saintfield's catering team. As Cook it will be your responsibility to plan, order supplies, prepare and present high quality food and hospitality for our residents. Working to the highest of standards, ensuring dietary requirements of all the residents are met. We provide a mixture of modified diets and cater for all dietary requirements across the Home.
You will be required to work 36 hours per week, a mixture of day shifts over a 7 day rota.
You will:
- Provide appetising and nutritious meals for our residents, in line with the company menu and individual preferences.
- Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations
- Manage food budgets and stocks, place food orders.
- check deliveries as required and place them in the appropriate storage areas
- Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen.
- Overall kitchen staff management, training, recruiting and rota.
We are looking for a confident individual who has a love and passion for food, generates positive energy and has excellent cooking and team leading skills.
Level 2 in Food Safety is required and a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
