Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in a new house in Wallasey.
This is an established company that have 15 homes.
Working 2 on 4 off - £60 sleep rate.
In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. Your primary focus will be fostering a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive, develop essential life skills, and achieve their individual care plans. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with each child's individual care plan, ensuring their emotional, behavioural, and physical needs are met effectively.
- Support children with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, independence, and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviour observations, and progress notes in compliance with organisational policies.
- Assist with transportation needs by driving children to educational appointments, leisure activities, or medical visits as required.
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols and safeguarding policies.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in residential setting.
- Valid driving licence.
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience in implementing care plans.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and team members.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and completing necessary documentation.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable young people through challenging circumstances.
