Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and programmable logic controllers to assemble and maintain equipment.
- Conduct surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes with precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, ensuring components are correctly fitted and secured.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic techniques.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of electronic systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and report any anomalies or defects promptly.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during assembly and maintenance activities to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes.
- Strong electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively with assembly tasks involving small components and detailed procedures.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals is desirable.
- Prior experience in electronics or mechanical assembly is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
