We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor to join our family-run coffee shop based within an independent garden centre. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food and drinks to our valued customers and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the coffee shop.

We are looking for someone to work four/five days per week; however, the position may be offered on a job-share basis for the most suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other speciality drinks.
- Prepare and serve simple food items such as sandwiches, paninis, toasties, and a selection of cakes.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide warm, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented coffee shop environment.
- Operate coffee machines and related equipment safely and effectively.
- Manage stock levels, replenish supplies, and place orders with approved suppliers as required.
- Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate till operation.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation are maintained at all times.
- Work independently and take responsibility for the smooth running of the coffee shop during your shift.
Requirements
- Previous barista, café, hospitality, or retail experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
- Confidence working independently and using initiative.
- Good numeracy skills for cash handling and order accuracy.
- Understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
