As a Guest services team member, you will be the welcome face at Skreens Park, delivering high quality customer service to our guests. Being an active part of the team, our perfect candidate will work closely alongside the Activity team and Operations’ Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Reliable & enthusiastic, you will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with a strong emphasis on customer focus.
We expect you to be trustworthy and dependable with an ability to excel under pressure and by your own initiative.
Duties for this role will consist of, but are not limited to:
Welcoming customers to the centre and being the first point of call for all questions.
Cash handling responsibilities when serving customers merchandise, drinks and food
Stock takes of shop stock.
Undertaking guest bookings both in person and over the telephone.
Completing guests booking using our booking system , invoicing and adding payments to bookings and emailing booking packages etc.
Handling administrative duties of a busy front office.
End of day office close down with tilling up and card payment supervision
Ordering of equipment / stock / maintenance products and obtaining and overseeing Quotes for onsite work
Setting up meeting / residential spaces in line with customer expectations as required
Helping to Clean buildings and rooms ready to welcome our new guests
Assisting with meal service for catered residential visits if needed
Assisting the Operations Manager with day to day work and ongoing projects.
Skills required for the position include but are not limited to:-
- Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for customer care
- A confident, friendly and approachable personality
- A high standard of personal presentation with excellent attention to detail – full uniform will be provided
- An ability to work well under pressure and competent in multi-tasking
- Sound knowledge of updated Windows software and the use of Excel spreadsheets, google drive etc.
- A good sense of humour and a willingness to be part of a small hard working team.
The willingness to step into other roles should the need arise – being a smaller team this is vitally important to us

We understand that life happens outside of work! This is a 35-hour-a-week role, and we are highly flexible with how those hours are structured. Whether you are looking for specific shift patterns or need to work around other commitments, we are happy to discuss a schedule that works for both of us.
About us:
Set in 56 Acres of Rural Essex we are a Scout Activity Centre keen to offer Excellent service to all our young people who visit us. We have an outstanding Crew building built to the highest of specification. If you chose to live on site the rent is £17 a week all bills and Wi Fi included.
We are looking to increase our activities and currently having one of the most challenging and spectacular high ropes courses in the South East. We have a large lake so water sports qualifications are available to all our staff who wish to gain them.
