The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help support the delivery of multiple projects across Sussex.
Working closely with our Project Managers and Operations Team, you will help ensure projects are properly prepared, organised and delivered to a high standard.
This is a varied role that combines site-based and office-based responsibilities, providing valuable support to our Project Managers whilst giving you exposure to all aspects of project delivery.
Your role will help ensure information is gathered, actions are followed through, standards remain high and projects continue moving forward.
No two days are likely to be the same.
Responsibilities will include:
- Visiting sites to monitor progress and gather information
- Assisting with project surveys and measure-ups
- Meeting subcontractors, suppliers and clients on site
- Supporting project preparation and planning
- Assisting with project scheduling and coordination
- Obtaining prices and following up suppliers
- Supporting procurement and material planning
- Monitoring site standards, quality and snagging
- Taking site photographs and recording project information
- Following up actions arising from site visits
- Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day project delivery activities
- Building strong relationships with customers, operatives and subcontractors
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and takes pride in doing things properly.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Practical construction knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Confidence dealing with customers, subcontractors and site teams
- Good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A full UK driving licence
Most importantly, we are looking for somebody with drive, common sense and a desire to continually improve.
