Smith & Friends Estate Agents is a well established and forward thinking Estate Agent, leading the way through innovation and our outstanding customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a full time Lettings Negotiator. You will be responsible for providing excellent service to new and existing clients whilst working and collaborating with our established team in the Darlington branch and also the wider Smith & Friends network. This role is to support our growing lettings department and the ideal candidate will be task driven, ambitious and keen to develop in this area.
Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with Estate Agency experience; however, individuals with a strong administrative background will also be considered.
The successful candidate must be a confident communicator who can easily engage and handle a broad range of clientele, they should have excellent administrative skills and be able to effectively prioritise workload.
Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently and coordinate the lettings process until a property becomes occupied.
As a Lettings Negotiator you will share our vision to push our service levels to the highest standard whilst demonstrating a strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Responsibilities:
- To register and qualify potential tenants
- Referencing tenants in line with our application process
- Ensuring adherence to lettings compliance
- Preparation of Tenancy Agreements and other documentation
- Liaising with tenants and landlords
- Develop and maintain tenant relations
- Arrange and facilitate property move ins
- Prospecting for new business opportunities
- Liaising with our maintenance and accounts departments to support tenants and landlords
- Coordinate and maintain the smooth operation of office diaries
