Job Description:
This role is responsible for the support of several bespoke in house applications that are utilised in warehouse and logistics operations and functions. Providing functional support to the business users for assigned applications and processes, including troubleshooting, working with technical teams ,including a remote centre of excellence, and internal customers to provide quality and timely resolution for all issues raised.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance of up-to-date documentation and materials including, work instructions for support related activity.
- Recognised across the organisation as a resource for resolving application related issues.
- Responsible for small projects.
- Quality testing of application changes and bug fixes.
- Work with 3rd parties to ensure quality and timely delivery of incident and problem resolution.
- Functional support for assigned area/s, using help desk tool to manage tickets. Resolve incidents and manage problems through to resolution.
- Communicate effectively with business users, ensuring service level for ticket type is adhered to and escalations are done appropriately.
- Build relationships with service providers and developers to ensure ticket resolution is managed efficiently.
- Execute testing of bug fixes and Change Requests and document results. Provide sign off confirmation to Business Applications Manager.
- Execute system configuration activities and create/maintain related documentation.
- Manage small projects (e.g. customer interfaces or individual Change Request) from requirements capture through to successful implementation.
- Develop sound understanding of assigned applications/processes including data and configuration in order to provide on-going support in a live environment.
- Support Organisation and Change Management, security, training and communication efforts.
- Provide roll-out support and training where necessary.
- Provide required support of master data requests to Master Data team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification from Level 3 up to and including degree level in an IT related discipline
- Candidates will have an interest in application support, with an inquisitive mind, a desire to analyse issues and have a problem solving mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
