Job Title: Data Engineer
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £37,500.00 - £46,000.00
Summary of Role:Educ8 Group varied systems contain data that together enable company delivery and growth. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic data expert who can help bring these systems together and display data suitable to the varied roles and needs of our circa 300 staff and varied customers. Key Duties
The data engineer is responsible for delivering:
· Data Visualisation: Working with partners and internal SMEs, develop and support dashboards for business use
· Design and Build Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines that efficiently collect, transform, and store data from various sources, providing integration solutions where appropriate, using partner expertise as required
· Data Management: Manage and optimize databases, data warehouse / data lake to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility for analysis.
· Data Requirements: Work closely with suppliers, partners and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
· Data Security: Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
· Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data solutions to ensure smooth operation and resolve any issues that arise.
· Documentation,Training: Maintain clear documentation of data processes, architectures, and workflows for future reference and compliance

· Employing best practice in terms of development, security and knowledge sharing
Awareness of and actively participating, supporting where suitable:
· Ongoing support of live systems where data expertise required

· Expert in data driven, solution focused problem solving
· Ability to network and contribute confidently with stakeholders and peers
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential Criteria
We would like 3 years experience of hands-on data analysis, automation and development including:
· Develop dashboards to end user requirements, ideally in Power BI
· Support legacy databases and scripts to move data between systems and visualize as required
· Ability to design, deliver and support system integrations and pipelines to move data around
· Deliver alternative approaches ideally including data lake, data warehouse solutions
· Experience or openness to using and awareness of pros / cons of AI driven development
Full driving license, own vehicle and willing to travel across Wales with Business Cover Insurance (A copy of your insurance will be requested upon offer)
Desirable Criteria
· Experience of work based learning as an industry
Key Technologies
We require a data engineer with experience of the following:
· Existing Stack: Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server, Power Automate, Power Shell, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Variety of learning management systems
· Future Stack: Databricks or equivalent, Azure Data Tools including ETL, MS Power BI, Tableau or equivalent
