Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant to support our team in delivering exceptional service within a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. The Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent service to our guests. all candidates must be 18 years or older
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, plating, and assembling dishes in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstations
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering food promptly
- Uphold food safety regulations at all times, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained throughout the service
- Manage basic maths calculations for billing, portioning, and stock control purposes
- Contribute to upselling efforts by recommending menu items and specials to maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with stock checks and inventory management as required
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various duties as needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock management
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
