Barista – Nikos Espresso & Sandwich Bar

Nikos Espresso & Sandwich Bar is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Barista to join our team at our Gyle Shopping Centre location.
We are an independent café business with multiple locations across Edinburgh, serving a loyal base of regular customers. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and can stay positive and organised in a busy café environment.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing high-quality espresso-based drinks, coffees, teas and other hot drinks
- Preparing and serving sandwiches, food and other café products
- Providing friendly, efficient and professional customer service
- Keeping the coffee bar, counters and preparation areas clean and organised
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Helping with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and stock checks
- Maintaining a clean, welcoming and well-presented café at all times
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and approachable with a genuine interest in customer service
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced café
- Able to remain calm and organised during busy periods
- Able to work as part of a team and support colleagues when needed
Previous barista or café experience is an advantage, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.
