Responsibilities
- Carry out welding tasks using appropriate techniques and safety procedures
- Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for various construction activities
- Perform masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and related tasks
- Assist with carpentry projects such as framing, fitting, and finishing work
- Conduct roofing repairs or installations as required
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and effectively
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery or structural issues
- Support commercial driving duties when transporting materials or equipment between sites
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a secure working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, roofing or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Valid driving licence for commercial vehicles is advantageous
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
