Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children during our After School Club. This role offers an opportunity to work with primary school aged children at The Dell Primary School in Chepstow.
Hours of work between 3:15pm and 6pm Monday-Friday. Additional hours may be available (See below).
Duties
- Supervise children during organised play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Facilitate age-appropriate games and educational activities that promote social interaction and development
- Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 in Play Work obtained in Wales
- AND/OR Level 2 or 3 in Childcare obtained in Wales
- We may accept an unqualified candidate for the right person, but you must be willing to work at least 16 hours (at least 2 additional lunch covers) to fulfil Welsh Government requirement and undertake the Playwork qualification with us.
There is opportunity for additional hours as lunch cover between 12-3pm at one of our local nurseries, should a candidate require more hours, however access to a car and a valid driving license is essential for this.
Pay: £12.71-£14.75 per hour
