Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Gas Safe Plumber to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and heat pump systems in residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, safety regulations, and mechanical processes. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas-related installations while adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.
Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair gas appliances and pipework in accordance with current regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on gas systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose faults using specialised tools and equipment, then implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide expert advice on gas system upgrades or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with legal requirements and industry best practices for safety and quality.
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills as necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting when required to move equipment or materials safely around sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Gas Safe registration is essential.
- Proven experience in plumbing, including working with gas systems.
- Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and general building maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments.
- Competence in carpentry skills for minor structural modifications or installations.
- Physical fitness to undertake heavy lifting and work in various environments.
- Valid driver’s licence with own van.
