Purpose of the Role
To provide accurate and efficient support to the Production Planning function, ensuring effective communication, inventory control, and data management to support production schedules and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning Administration
· Support the Production Planner in maintaining production schedules
· Provide general administrative support including filing, records, and documentation
2. Stock & Inventory Control
· Monitor raw material and packaging stock levels
· Maintain accurate records of materials including labels, cartons and components
· Support monthly stock takes and inventory updates
3. Reporting & Data Management
· Generate reports on stock levels, production status and material availability
· Identify and highlight potential issues affecting production performance
4. Communication & Coordination
· Liaise with internal teams to ensure alignment on production plans
· Communicate delays, shortages and operational issues
5. Operational Support
· Assist with rework planning and issue documentation
· Arrange samples when required
· Support coordination of production meetings
6. Cover & Support
· Provide support during absence of the Production Planner including assisting with production planning and staffing coordination
7. General Responsibilities
· Support achievement of production targets and efficiency
· Complete additional duties as required
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Desirable
Experience with MATTEC systems
Experience with SAGE systems
Knowledge of manufacturing or plastics production
