Almagrove Jewellers is an independent jewellers in the centre of Southampton. We specialise in bespoke jewellery, repairs and high end watches, as well as being the city’s top experts in gemstones and diamonds.
We are looking for a sales assistant, who is keen to learn, detail-orientated and adaptable, to join the team and help as we grow our business.
As a Sales Assistant you will:
- Develop knowledge of our jewellery and watches, as well as learning about gold, diamonds and other gemstones.
- Welcome customers to the shop and help them find any jewellery they are looking for.
- Take in customer repairs and discuss with them the best options for their jewellery.
- Learn about how to test precious metals, with the aim of buying jewellery from customers.
- Handle customer enquiries via email, phone call and live website chat.
- Assist customers with their purchasing of our in-store brands, such as Nomination and Thomas Sabo.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for someone with a passion for jewellery, with good customer service skills and is keen to learn.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to build trust with customers
- Professional, articulate and well-presented.
- Comfortable using ePOS systems and handling money
- Enthusiastic to learn new skills
- Customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Good at communication and can work well within a team.
