Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent driving skills, particularly with flatbed and commercial vehicles. The ideal applicant will have previous delivery driver experience and be committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients, maintaining accurate records
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring it is presentable for deliveries
- Assist with loading or unloading when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial vehicles
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns within the area of operation
- Experience in handling goods securely during transit and understanding of load balancing on flatbeds
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality

Pay: £130.00-£230.00 per day
