Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team. The successful candidate will oversee daily store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales growth. The Store Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of organisation, merchandising, and team leadership to optimise store performance.
Duties
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise staff, organise rotas, and ensure effective team management
- Oversee merchandising activities to maintain attractive product displays aligned with brand standards
- Monitor stock levels, coordinate inventory management, and facilitate stock replenishment
- Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns to maximise revenue
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy
- Conduct staff training sessions on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
Experience
- Proven management experience within a retail setting is essential - experience in the baby & nursery sector is desirable
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in team management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in phone etiquette
- Administrative experience including staff scheduling, reporting, and record keeping
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance customer engagement and team communication
- Experience in merchandising, sales promotion, and inventory control is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
