Role Overview
We’re seeking a Construction Site Supervisor with proven experience in heritage or conservation projects. This key role involves managing daily site operations, coordinating trades, and overseeing sensitive works such as masonry repairs, roof restorations, decorative sash and casement window treatments, external scaffold work, and shop fit-outs. The ideal candidate has strong site supervision skills, knowledge of traditional building methods, and a passion for preserving cultural heritage. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
- Coordinate and supervise tradespeople and subcontractors on site
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation (including CDM regs)
- Work closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve site issues
- Monitor progress, manage site documentation, and support reporting
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality and spec requirements
- Assist with the logistics and planning of specialist elements including joinery, finishes, and materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management and supervising teams on-site.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Familiarity with project management software, particularly Primavera P6.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Ideally should had IPAF and PASMA
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction processes and regulations.
